FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONSIDER SHIFTING RESUMPTION DATE

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, says the Federal government is considering shifting the January 18th resumption date for schools over rising COVID cases.

Adamu said this while speaking at the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID19.

“It (January 18th date of school reopening) is not sacrosanct. When we decided on that date it was just a target towards what we were working on.

Of course, we are keeping it in view and looking at what is happening in the society and then it is supposed to be subject to constant review. Even today at the PTF meeting we looked at the rising figures and thought about if we should probably take another look at it.

“On January 18th resumption, we are reviewing it, we are going to review it… tomorrow the Ministry is going to take it up.” he said

A GHANAIAN MEDICAL OFFICE

A Ghanaian Medical Officer in the USA has sent this through to help each and everyone. Please read and take care of yourself - Dr. Okyere.

The rate at which  young people are suffering from Kidney disease is alarming. I am sharing a post which can help us.
Please read below:

IMPORTANT - KIDNEY DESERVES THE BEST.

Barely two (2) days ago, we all received the news of the demise of the Nigerian actor as a result of kidney disease.
ALSO OUR MINISTER OF PUBLIC WORKS, the Honorable Teko Lake is currently in the Hospital on life support with Kidney problems. I want to show you how to avert this menace of kidney disease.

*SO HERE ARE THE TOP 6 CAUSES OF KIDNEY DISEASE:*

1. Delaying going to a toilet. Keeping your urine in your bladder for too long is a bad idea. A full bladder can cause bladder damage. The urine that stays in the bladder multiplies bacteria quickly. Once the urine refluxes back to the ureter and kidneys, the toxic substances can result in kidney infections, then urinary tract infections, and then nephritis, and even uremia. When nature calls – do it as soon as possible.

2. Eating too much salt. You should eat no more than 5.8 grams of salt daily.

3. Eating too much meat. Too much protein in your diet is harmful for your kidneys. Protein digestion produces ammonia – a toxin that is very destructive to your kidneys. More meat equals more kidney damage.

4. Drinking too much caffeine. Caffeine is a component of many sodas and soft drinks. It raises your blood pressure and your kidneys start suffering. So you should cut down the amount of coke you drink daily.

5. Not drinking water. Our kidneys should be hydrated properly to perform their functions well. If we don’t drink enough, the toxins can start accumulating in the blood, as there isn’t enough fluid to drain them through the kidneys. Drink more than 10 glasses of water daily. There is an easy way to check if you are drinking
enough water: look at the colour of your urine; the lighter the colour, the better.

6. Late treatment . Treat all your health problems properly and have your health checked regularly. Let's help ourselves...God will protect you and your family from every disease this year.

(3) Avoid these Tablets, they are very dangerous:
* D-cold
* Vicks Action-500
* Actified
* Coldarin
* Cosome
* Nice
* Nimulid
* Cetrizet-D
They contain Phenyl Propanol-Amide, PPA which
causes Strokes & Are banned in USA.

“Yesterday, I received the rude and shocking news of someone deeply dear to me and all of the HOTR family. The passing of Pastor Yinka Akinbami has become most painful because if there truly were good men, he was certainly one. To my brother, sleep well till we meet to part no more,” he said.

“Family, kindly allow me to solicit your intercession for his dear wife of over 30 years; Pastor Tolu, his children, his children-in-law, and grandchildren. We can only at best imagine how much pain they are feeling. We share the pain of his loss but they will feel it a lot more.

HISTORY OF CHANCHANGA IN MINNA NIGER STATE

History of Chanchaga
CHANCHAGA LOCAL GOVERNMENT
pspark963.blogspot.com
Minna being the headquarter of Chanchaga Local Government derived its name from Gbagyi (Gwari) word `Min’ and `na’ the word `Min’ means spray and `na’ fire the town originally was on the hill at Sayako and walls (Ganuwa) built around it. There were also Gbagyi towns and villages in and around the present site of the modern Minna. In the olden days, at the certain period of the year, all villages far and near Min-na town on the hills used to extinguish their fire for the New Year fire which was usually fetched from Min-na town. This practice of annual extinguishing or spraying of fire gave the town on the hill its name M’ina’ with single `n’ the additional `n’ in the word `Minna’ was the making of colonial masters to suit their pronunciation.

The villages then that make up Minna were Gbangbapi, Gbadnai, Shango, Bosso, Ebbi (Maikunele) and Gbaiko. Most of these villages now fall under Bosso Local Government with the exception of Gbangbapi and Gbadnai. The construction of railway line from Baro through Minna in 1911 is one of the factors that led to it becoming the Administrative headquarters of the old Niger province. This paved way for strangers to settle in the town, and while some settled permanently, others only work as civil servants and large extent trading. These strangers who naturally could not live with the natives in the hills nor the surroundings villages built their huts beneath it.

It should also be stressed that Minna strategic location with relatively easy accessibility from all parts of Niger State and other parts of the country through railway line and perhaps its proximity to the federal capital, Abuja exposing it further to the outside world, made it suitable for a State Capital.

Minna was made first headquarter of Chanchanga Local Government, since the creation of Niger State in 1976, although it still maintain it headmastership of Minna Municipal Council with all the administrative and functional requirements of a full pledge Local Government, when the then Chanchanga Local Government was moved to kuta as Shiroro Local Government, it did not enjoy the Federal Government recognition until July, 1989.

However the creation of more Local Government in 1991 by the Babangida Administration saw the split of the Local Government into three to have Bosso and Paikoro in addition.

PRESIDENT, BIHARI,OSINBAJO OTHERS TO TAKE COVID-19 VACCINE

Buhari, Osinbajo, others to take COVID-19 vaccine
Jan 7, 2021Read original

President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha and other prominent Nigerians will be among the first people to receive the COVID-19 vaccine on live television to help drive awareness
.

The Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Faisal Shuaib, revealed this at Thursday’s briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

In terms of the prioritization of vaccines and strategic country leadership, Shuaib said, “what it means that on Tuesday I had mentioned that we will like to see a situation where Mr. President, the Vice President, the SGF, critical leaders come and take the vaccine in full glare of the public to demonstrate that this vaccine is safe. So we have to make provisions for those.

“But even in developed countries, what we have seen is that apart from the prioritization of health workers, you have to also identify critical leaders that you don’t want them to be wiped off by the virus.

“For example, in warfare, if you want to destroy your enemies, you look for specific leaders, captains, the generals, once you decapitate them, then the soldiers will become weak.

“So, as much as possible you do not want to also leave your leaders vulnerable to COVID-19, it doesn’t. It doesn’t mean you want to prioritize politicians, that is not correct.

“I emphasized during the last briefing that we will prioritize our health workers because they are the ones in direct contacts with cases in isolation units.”
